Age in Place
“Aging in place” refers to the idea that a person should not have to move from their present residence in order to secure necessary support services in response to changing needs. To us, “aging in place” means a person should be able to receive the services, products and conveniences he or she needs while living in their home or a non-healthcare environment—and he or she should not have to move as life circumstances change.
Family Environment
At Preferred Assisted Living and Respite Care, we make every effort possible to ensure our residents can age in place with us. All of our homes are designed with either a Victorian or Classic décor and are completely handicapped accessible. With only 8-15 residents per home, a family-like environment is created where residents truly feel at home.
Home Health & Hospice
When deemed appropriate, we work with hospice agencies who have agreed to abide by established best practices. This makes it possible for our residents with end-of-life needs to receive high-quality, consistent hospice care without having to leave our comfortable home-like environment.
